"real church for real people"

Article Pic
But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!  -Jude 20-21

In a world of unreal pursuits, we invite you to join us into the real life journey. It's about digging into real truth, discovering our real purpose, and building real relationships. Through these trails, the Spirit grows real life in us that more genuinely reflects what we find so inspiring in Jesus Christ.

Church of the Living Christ (or "CLC") is a community of regular people pursuing our Master, Jesus, in a way that ever-increasingly reflects the love, passion, servanthood and commitment we see in our Savior. He came to give us life through the Holy Spirit, so his real life is what we're after.

We especially welcome those who have no church home. Many in our area are disillusioned with religion's legalism, irrelevance, or ambivalence. We believe in being a safe place for honest questions about God, the Bible, and why it all matters (see video below) because God is looking for a real, honest relationship, not lip service.

CLC definitely isn't a place for perfect people, but if you desire to take serious steps toward knowing Jesus in a more real way, maybe it's time to join others on the same journey. It could make all the difference in your life!

how to act in church

Sometimes being in church can feel, well... awkward. Each church seems to have different expectations. The video below offers some helpful pointers for your next visit to church (warning: if humor is against your religion, you probably wouldn't like our church).
