what we believe

These 16 teachings are shared by all Assemblies of God churches. Most of these "doctrines" are shared by all protestant churches. Four of these teachings (Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ) are essential to our core mission of reaching the world for Christ.

1. The Bible is God's Word and His plan for me.

2. There is one true God. God the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one.

3. Jesus is God's Son who came to earth as a man.

4. Though man was made good, everyone has sinned.

5. I can have a relationship with God because Jesus died for me.

6. I obey and remember Jesus when I take communion and am baptized in water.

7. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is God's gift to me.

8. When I am baptized in the Holy Spirit, God will enable me to pray with words I don't know.

9. With God's help, I can become more like Jesus.

10. God uses the church to do his work.

11. God uses spiritual leaders to help me grow.
